Dhar staged by ABVP

GUWAHATI, August 3: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parisad staged a dhar at Dighalipukhuripar of the city today in protest against the decision of Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi to erect a statue of Italian leader Don Bosco in front of bin Chandra Bordoloi Hall in the city. ABVP town assistant secretary Pralay Kumar Bodo said: "This is very shameful that instead of other Assamese or Indian scholars, Gogoi has decided to erect a statue of Italian scholars. We therefore, request Gogoi to stop this act and erect any other persolity of the state and the country instead of Don Bosco."
