Differences crop up in BJP, Ramakanta slams Rajen Gohain

BY OUR STAFF REPORTER

GUWAHATI, Aug 18: With just few days left for the completion of three months of the BJP government in the State, differences in the party have cropped up with party MLA from Morigaon constituency Ramakanta Dewry  openly  taking on Union Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain.

Talking to mediapersons after a meeting of the Tiwa Jatiya Parishad at Morigaon here today, Dewry warned Union minister Gohain not to intervene in the activities of Morigaon constituency.

He further alleged that Gohain had hatched conspiracy to defeat him in the Assembly polls.

Taking a dig at the junior Railway Minister, Dewry alleged that Gohain has tried to create division among the people of the Tiwa community.

The Morigaon MLA also asked Union minister Gohain not to interfere in the functioning of the Tiwa Autonomous Council (TAC).

“He (Gohain) has even tried to interfere in the affairs of Tiwa Autonomous Council but we will never allow it to happen,” he said.
