Dispur Shuffles Top Bureaucrats - 15 Dec, 2016

GUWAHATI, Dec 14: The Assam Government today shuffled its top officials in a major way.

According to a Governor's notification issued by the Personnel (A) Department today, Additiol Chief Secretary TY Das will remain in-charge of the Chief Secretary from December 18-30, 2016 when Chief Secretary VK Pipersania will be on leave. This is in addition to her duty as the Additiol Chief Secretary of PWD(R), PWD(NH&B), Revenue and Disaster Magement, Home and Political Department.

Additiol Chief Secretary of WPT&BC, Soil Conservation and Power (E) Department Rajiv Kumar Bora has been given the additiol charge of APDCL chairman from December 10, 2016 to January 3, 2017 when APCDL chairman Ravi Capoor will be on leave.

Assam Accord, GAD and SAD Principal Secretary Promod Kumar Tiwari has been temporarily posted as the resident commissioner at Assam Bhawan, New Delhi from January 3 to 22, 2017 when incumbent Rwitticka Das Kalita will be on leave.

P&RD Commissioner JB Ekka has been partially posted as the Mission Director of State Rural Livelihood Mission in addition to his substantive post. He has been relieved from the post of Chief Executive Officer in the AIFRERMA.

Transport Commissioner-cum-Secretary Ashutosh Agnihotri has been posted as the Commissioner-Secretary of Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship and Industries & Commerce Department in addition to his existing charges. He, however, has been relieved as GMDA Chairman-cum-Chief Executive Officer and MD of Guwahati Smart City.

Land Record Director Barun Bhuyan has been posted as the Deputy Commissioner of Bongaingaon in place of Biswajit Pegu who has been posted as Lakhimpur Deputy Commissioner. Lakhimpur DC Debeswar Malakar, on the other hand, has been posted as the Director of Land Records.

Health and Family Welfare Joint Secretary and AYUSH Director Varli Deka has been posted as Cachar DC in place of S Viswathan.

SSAM Executive Director Vivekanda Phookan has been transferred and posted as Charaideo DC in place of Monimala Phukan Barthakur who has been transferred as the Secretary of Excise and Welfare of Minorities Development Department.

Animal Husbandry and Veteriry Secretary MS Manivann has been posted as the Project Director of Chief Minister's SGUY and the CEO of SITA.
