Dispur to fill up over 2,000 vacant posts in Health department

GUWAHATI, Aug 25:  The State government has given green sigl to fill up 2,649 vacant posts in the health sector to provide better medical services to the people of the State. Health department has decided to fill up this post during the current fincial year, stated an official statement.

According to the statement, these vacant posts will be filled up under tiol Health Mission.

Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has instructed the authorities concerned to do the needful in this regard.

3O7 posts of specialist doctors, 93 posts of health officers, 105 posts of Ayurvedic Health Officer, 14 posts of Homeopathic Health Officers and 56 posts of dental surgeon will be filled up by the government this year. Apart from this, the Health Minister has also directed to fill up 900 posts of staff nurse, 500 posts of ANM, 86 posts of laboratory technicians, 233 posts of pharmacists and four posts of radiographer.

Apart from this 351 posts of technical and non-technical staff will also be filled up. Minister Sarma has already issued instruction in this regard.
