Distribute hard cash among rural folks: AIUDF

GUWAHATI, Nov 21: The AIUDF has appealed to government to provide hard cash in smaller denomitions among the commoners who have been facing acute cash crunch in the aftermath of the demonetization of 500 and 1000-rupee notes. In a statement issued to the press today, AIUDF president Badruddin Ajmal said: “The decision taken by Modi has affected the commoners hard. The farmers are not in a position to reap their harvest as they have to stand in long queues in front of banks or ATMs. They also cannot buy manures for rabi crops as they have no time and no hard cash. The government has failed to realize the loss the country has to incur for such a whimsical decision. In order to give a succour to the rural folks, the government should distrcibutes hard cash among them in smaller denomitions sp as to allow them to get their essentials.”
