Doley, Xatradhikar shower blessing on Abhishruti

GUWAHATI, Sept 18: State Cultural Affairs Minister ba Kumar Doley and Majuli's Uttar Kamalabari Xatra Xatradhikar Jardan Deva Goswami showered praise and blessing on Abhshruti Bezbaruah during the release of her album – ABHISHRUTI – at Guwahati Racquet & Billiards, Geetagar on September 17, 2017.
The six-song album was released jointly by the minister, who was the chief guest at the function, and the Xatradhikar amidst the presence of many renowned persolities and music lovers.
Speaking on the occasion, Doley said: "The new generation artistes are trying to spread the folk culture of Assam in rest of India and abroad. Abhishruti's effort is indeed laudable. We hope she'll make the State's folk culture popular outside Assam and the world as well. I wish her success in life."
Xatradhikar Deva Goswami said: "Despite being a new generation artiste, Abhishruti's effort to make the folk culture of the State flourish in rest of India and abroad is highly appreciated. She's making the identity of different folk and ethnic cultures of the State felt outside the State and the country. The blessing of the Uttar Kamalabari Xatra is always with the Bezbaruah family."
Speaking on the occasion, VDO director Samujjal Kashyap said: "The album has its depth to soothe music lovers. It's a great effort. It'll be available online as well".
Besides being an artiste, Abhishruti, a YouTube sensation with more than 10 lakh viewership of her Assamese hit songs and fans spanning all over the globe, is an award-winning sound designer intelligently mixing Assamese folk music by bringing a whole new level of fresh rhythms and funks to her compositions. Abhishruti, a talented sync sound and sound designer, worked with Oscar-winner Padma Sri Dr. Resul Pookutty and tiol Award winner kul Kamte.
