Drive against dowry launched

GUWAHATI, May 10: Guwernika – a cultural awareness programme – started a drive against dowry at a function at Cotton College in Guwahati today. The message of the drive is – I won’t give dowry, I won’t take dowry. Intellectuals, students and members of families who had to bear the brunt of dowry attended the programme in large numbers. The drive will be carried out in the length and breadth of the state.
