GUWAHATI, March 4: After successfully executing three  phases by distributing 9,100 pads and educating 480 school girls different underprivileged section, the Rotaract Club of Guwahati Luit, in association with 15 Clubs all over India, is going to execute the fil phase of the campaign on March 8 i.e. Intertiol Women’s Day. Clubs from Bangalore, Mumbai, Gurugram, Kalyan, Siliguri, Gangtok, Vapi and Tezpur have taken up the noble initiative of #WeforHER to educate & empower underprivileged school girls on issue of menstruation and hygiene. “So, what this partnership aims to do is to test whether we can build a annual sustaible programme by distributing sanitary pads and educating them to address the issue of female learners missing school or even dropping out because they are not equipped to mage their menstruation. Secondly, we want this campaign grown in Assam to spread all over India with pride. Today we have more than 15 organizations in eight different cities of India taking up the initiative. It would do justice to the aim of our campaign. We aim to distribute 18,000 Pads on March 8 along with educatiol session to empower those little ones,” said Tushar Jalan, president of Rotaract Club of Guwahati Luit.
