Drug paddlers arrested

GUWAHATI, Sept 25: Sleuths of the Crime Branch and Dispur Police arrested two drug paddlers – Mujibur Rahman (29) and Karmot Ali (45), both hailing from Karimganj – from Capital Lodge, Ganeshguri in the city on Monday. The police seized 135.64 grams of heroin from their possession. 

The local people of Ghoramara in the city caught hold of a youth, Abhi Das, along with a ‘eunuch’ and handed them over to the police on Sunday. The police seized 20 grams heroin and a car from their possession. In another incident, the police seized 12 grams heroin from a youth, Jems Brahma, in the Beltola area on Sunday.
