Durga Puja in Sankardev Kalakshetra

Guwahati, Oct 6: Keeping in mind the long-standing wish of the residents of Greater Sankardev Kalakshetra locality, Panjabari, Durga Puja will be organised for the very first time in the area, a press release said. The puja will be held at Jilika Path (opposite Shilpgram approach road), near Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra from October 8 to October 11. A special highlight of the puja festivities will be a visit by the inmates of Amar Ghar, a home for the elderly, on the day of Maha Asthami. A puja committee has been formed with TK Chakraborty and Dhirendra th Bhuyan as president and secretary respectively, stated a press release.
