Dusherra deferred by a day

GUWAHATI, Sept 26: The Dusherra celebration that was supposed to be held at Old Jail Compund, Fancy Bazar in Guwahati on September 30 has been deferred by a day. The celebration will now be held on October 1, 2017 following a request from Guwahati Police Commissionerate by taking into account the crowed of devotees expected during the emersion of idols on September 30.

The Asom Vijaydashami Mohotsav Samity under the aegis of Brihattar Fancy Bazar Xahitya Xabha president Ram Niranjan Goenka and FRIENDS Club, Fancy Bazar is pleased to inform all that the preparations for the upcoming Dusherra celebrations are going on in full swing and the effigies of Rawan, Kumbhakar and Meghd are nearing completion.
