GUWAHATI, Sept 7: State Industries and Commerce Commissioner Dr KK Dwivedi appreciated the Federation of Industry and Commerce of North Eastern Region (FINER) for playing a vital role for the uplift of trade and commerce in the State and the support rendered to the Department of Industries and Commerce all through in the matter.
The FINER had an interactive meet with Dwivedi in the city recently.
FINER chairman RS Joshi, on behalf of FINER, submitted a Memorandum to the Commissioner on different issues prevalent in the Industry and Commerce in the State and requested him to take measures to address at the right earnest.
Dwivedi, appreciated FINER for playing a vital role for the uplift of trade and commerce in the State and the support rendered to the Department of Industries & Commerce all through in the matter. In addition to the issues regarding the suspension of the most focused policy of the region - NEIIPP 2007, the issues related to the Land, Power, Ease of doing Business, tiol Mission of Food Processing, Taxation were also discussed during the meeting. He welcomed inputs, suggestions and concerns raised by the members present and mentioned that the department would try its level best to address all issues of the public, including the ones mentioned in the memorandum submitted and solve the problems faced by the Industries and that proper procedure would be executed so as to avoid confusion.
Dwivedi also said that the Department would take measures to implement proper mechanism to minimize the hurdles being faced by the industries. He also mentioned that regular monthly meeting between Department of Industries & Commerce and FINER to be held to address the issues related to trade and commerce.
