Engineers flay improper selection of MDs

GUWAHATI, Jan 28: The Association of Engineers, ASEB organized its 32nd general body meeting at Institution of Engineers, Panbazar, Guwahati recently. The Association lamented the whimsical way the State Government has been appointing the maging directors of APDCL, APGCL and AEGCL which has affected the functioning of the three government-owned companies, especially APDCL which is in a sort of limbo with the leadership uble to provide any sort of direction to the organization to reduce the loss. The State Government had appointed four persons as Maging Director of APDCL in a span of two-and-a-half months, leading to magerial paralysis in the company, said Utpal Gohain, general secretary of Association of Engineers, ASEB in a press release.
