Essay competition held

GUWAHATI, Jan 6: An open essay writing competition for children up to class VIII was organized by CnC Club, Hengerabari recently. The topic of the essay competition was ‘Importance of hygiene in persol life’. The prizes were distributed on Tuesday evening. Anushka Deka of Little Flower School bagged the 1st prize carrying a cash reward of Rs 5555 and a certificate. Runia Demta of St Mary’s High School bagged the 2nd prize that carried a cash reward of Rs 3,333 and a certificate, whereas the 3rd prize carrying a cash reward of Rs 2,222 and a certificate went to Dikshit Priyam Parasar of Shrimanta Shankar Academy. Four consolation prizes and prizes for neat copy and best handwriting were also given, a press release stated.
