GUWAHATI, May 10: In a joint statement, the Krishak Sramik Unnayan Parishad, Assam (KSUPA) and Goriya Moriya Yuva Chatra Parishad (GMYCP) have asked the AGP Ministers Atul Bora, Keshab Mohanta and Phani Bhusan Choudhury to strengthen the pan Assam agitation against the proposed Citizenship (Amendment) Bill - 2016. The KSUPA president Pradip Kalita said that the regional party still being a coalition partner in BJP-led State Government even after so much of protest against the citizenship Bill is a great mystery. “Would it make sense if the AGP resigns from office once the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill-2016 is passed in the Lok Sabha?” Kalita questioned. In the meantime, the GMYCP general secretary Moinul Haque asserted that the organization will fight against the Bill till the last drop of blood.
