Excise directive for bars, wine shops

GUWAHATI, January 17: The State Excise Department has issued some directives for wine shops and bars in the state to follow. According to the new directives, no wine shop should open before 2 pm and no bar should open before 1 pm. And all wine shops (not applicable in Guwahati) should be at least 20 metres away from roads and highways. The first and the last days of every month should be dry days in the state.
