Excise raid at Fatasil

GUWAHATI, July 4: Under the Direction of Superindent of Excise Kamrup (Metro), Guwahati Excise Department carried out a raid at Fatasil Bazar on Tuesday. Eight cases were registered leading to the arrest of as many people U/S 53(I)(a) of A.E. Act. In this connection 175 litres of I/D liquor was seized in the presence of witness and destroyed at the place of occurrence. Later on the accused were released on bail and their cases have been registered as per seizure list.
