Excise raids in city, 52 rounded up

GUWAHATI, May 10: Excise sleuths continue to raid in various areas in Guwahati where illicit liquor is sold openly. Raiding various areas like Kamal gar, Borbari, Baikuntha gar, Beltola Bazar and on Kolongpar Express train at Noonmati a team of Excise sleuths today rounded up as many as 52 persons, including women. The team also seized 10,000 litres of illicit liquor, 25,000 kg of raw materials meant for manufacture of liquor and 42 utensils used in making the local brew.
