GUWAHATI, Oct 2: In a bid to make the highways more safer, the tiol Highways Authority of India (NHAI) organized a free eye camp for the truck drivers in the Balaji Temple complex, Guwahati Bypass in collaboration with Sri Sankaradeva Nethralaya and was iugurated on Monday by Special DGP Kuladhar Saikia, in presence of Dr. Harsha Bhattacharjee, Medical Director, Sri Sankaradeva Nethralaya, Guwahati Police Commissioner HC th, senior jourlists Pray Bordoloi, Mril Talukdar and others. NHAI CGM (NE) Guwahati Raj Chakrabarty said that poor eye vision of the truck drivers is one of the key reasons for increasing road accidents. “As the truck drivers do not get time to attend their eyes because of their highly demanding mobile lifestyle, the NHAI has come forward for their help” said Chakrabarty.
