Facebook post by DSP takes State by storm

GUWAHATI, April 26: A Facebook post by a policeman has taken the entire state by a storm. Deputy Superintendent of Police Anjan Bora in a Facebook post alleged that a lady BJP MLA of Assam has been involved in immoral activities at the Assam Secretariat. The post in the social networking site has evoked reactions. State DGP Mukesh Sahay has written a letter to the Home Secretary urging him to take legal action against the DSP.

The post has proved it that social media, a form of altertive media that has no ‘gatekeepers’, is fraught with the risk of violating neglecting media ethics.
