Fake notes seized, 6 arrested

GUWAHATI, October 19: Counterfeit currency notes with a face value of Rs 2.10 lakh were seized from Gorchuk and Paltan Bazar areas during a raid by the police, who acted on a tip-off. According to sources, six persons, who were arrested in that connection, were hiding in two hotels in the areas. They have been identified as Pabon Sarma, Suhil Sarkar, Pradip Gogoi, Pabitra Sonowal, Basab Sonowal and Ankur Bora.
