Fake Samsonite bags seized, one held

GUWAHATI, Jan 19: Panbazar police, along with enforcers of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) raided  a shop at Masjid Gali at Panbazar in Guwahati recently and seized a number of fake American Tourister bags.

Acting on a tip-off by a private investigative agency, EIPR, the Panbazar police carried out raid at A One Bag Centre. During the raid, the police found 20 American Tourister Bags and two American Tourister Trolley bags. The police arrested Ahmed Hussain, who was running the shop. The raid was led by SI Tonmay th and his team. The accused was arrested under Section 63 of Copyrights Act and under Section 420 of Indian Pel Code.
