Fancy Bazar traders' dhar

GUWAHATI, Dec 8: Members of the All Guwahati Traders’ Association (AGTA) are going to stage dhar on New Market SRCB Road, Fancy Bazar in the city on December 11 from 10 am to 12 noon in support of their various demands.

Different traders’ bodies of Greater Fancy Bazar area will take part in the dhar under their respective banners. Representatives from the Cloth Merchants’ Association, Motor Parts’ Association, Assam Goldsmith Associates and others expressed their concern over their problems after the fire of New Market in Fancy Bazar.

General secretary of the associates Prantosh Roy demanded immediate compensation of Rs 10 lakh, and Mudra Loan (Tarun) on a priority basis from tiolized banks to the victims. He also sought security to the affected traders.
