FEMA meet organized by Foreign Exchange Department of SBI

Guwahati, March 8: Foreign Exchange Department, Reserve Bank of India, Guwahati organised a FEMA Meet along with the Quarterly Customer Service Meeting at Reserve Bank of India, Guwahati on March 07, 2017.

BK Mishra, Regiol Director for North Eastern Region, Reserve Bank of India, Guwahati iugurated the captioned meeting by lighting the ceremonial lamp. In the keynote aress, Misra, Regiol Director briefed the participants about the growth of foreign exchange market in India. He also stressed the importance of modern risk magement system and improved customer service for the growth of forex market in India.

M.T. Muanding Guite, Deputy General Mager, Reserve Bank of India welcomed the participants and also briefed about different circulars relating to foreign exchange magement and advised all the participants to get the circulars from RBI website.

S.P. Bhattacharjee, Assistant Mager, RBI briefed the participants about Import Export and money changing activities.

The meet was concluded with vote of thanks from A K Das, Assistant Mager, RBI, Guwahati. The captioned semir was attended by officials from various public and private sector banks in Guwahati and Shillong, FFMCs in Guwahati / Shitlong as well as various customers dealing with forex.This was stated in a press release.
