FINER delegation meets Central minister

GUWAHATI, March 12: A high level delegation of Federation of Industry and Commerce of North Eastern Region (FINER), headed by chairman RS Joshi had a meeting today with Jayant Sinha, Union Minister of State for Fince in New Delhi. The delegation submitted a memorandum to the Union minister on the issues related to the northeastern region which needs to be addressed. The memorandum highlighted relevant issues pertaining to the region like revocation of suspension of North East Industrial and Investment Promotion Policy,  provision of adequate budgetary support for NEIIP and other schemes for development of industry and service sector in the region, restoration of dilutions that had taken place in the policy over the years, a focused banking policy for the region, posting of skilled work force and others. This was stated in a press release.
