Fire in city, major casualty averted

GUWAHATI, Jan 5: Fire caught in three shops of disposable items like cup and plate at Kamala Market Complex at TRP Road in the Fancy Bazar area around 11.40 am today. The store atop a shop located at the ground floor of the six-storeyed building caught fire. Some families were staying in the upper floors of the building.  A major casualty has been averted when firefighters and SDRF men brought the fire under control within half-an-hour. The police suspect short-circuit to be cause of the fire.
