First book on demonetization

GUWAHATI, Dec 4: ‘Bimudrakoronor Dostavez’ (Documents of Demonitisation), a book on the recent demonetization Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes by the Government, authored by young jourlist Ziaur Rahman, was formally released at a function in Guwahati on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, stalwarts from media and publishing houses viewed this book as the first book of its kind on the subject, to be brought out anywhere in the country. Ziaur was praised by all for his timeliness as well as speed in bringing out the book.

Rahman explained the background which prompted him to write the book and he termed it as a piece of unbiased reporting where facts and figures have been presented for the people to understand the pros and cons of demonitisation. There has not been any attempt to either praise or deride any action of the government and hence a reader would be able to understand the move of the government and come to his own conclusion, he said.
