GUWAHATI, March 24: The Lachit Xe has been demanding of the State Government to make the historic Lachitgarh free from encroachment but to little avail. In a statement issued on to press on Saturday, Lachit Xe general Amar Baruah said: “We’ve have been raising the demand for making Lachitgarh at Jalukbari and other historic monuments in the State free from encroachment. However, not a single encroacher has been evicted from Lachitgarh.”
