GUWAHATI, Feb 29: Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) introduced a fleet of four free-of-fare city buses to and from Gauhati University today. While a pair of the buses will ply to and from the yard of Assam Type 7th Lachit Barphukan Boys’ Hostel to Food Villa near Cotton College via Bharalumukh after every hour, another pair of buses will ply to and from Assam Type 7th Lachit Barphukan Boys’ Hostel to Bashistha Mandir via NH-37 and Lokhara. The bus service will start from 7.30 am and conclude at 8.30 pm. Students and other staff of the Gauhati can avail this facility that was iugurated by ASTC MD Ratun Baruah. Transport officer of Kamrup (M) district Gautam Das and others of the district were present at the function.
