GUWAHATI, Nov 1: On the penultimate day of Guwahati Intertiol Film Festival (GIFF) on Wednesday its organizers had an interaction with delegates and other participants, besides the media to know their short-comings, if any, so that they can do away with such faults in future. The open forum on Wednesday was participated by festival director Monita Borgohain, Pabitra Margherita, festival curator Srinivasa Santham, Filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishn and Rahul Jain. Addressing the audience, Monita Borgohain said, “I don’t know much about films but at least I have the idea of good and bad. By default I was made the director of the festival. Four months back while I was discussing with Additiol Chief Sectary VB Pyarelal that we should organize an intertiol film festival here in Assam and he agreed. Then we started planning and got just four months to organize this festival.  But I’m proud that today this festival has put Assam in the intertiol map. It was not an easy task but team works made it a success. And all the guests and embassies we contacted gave us a positive response. We expected only 1500 delegates to take part. However, till Tuesday I got to know that 5,000 delegates registered their mes.” Santham said, “A marvelous job was done by the team.”
