Gogoi on mega food park

GUWAHATI, May 29: Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today exhorted that the mega food park iugurated at thkuchi, Tihu in lbari district yesterday was the outcome of sincerity, positive intent and love for Northeast of the then UPA government at the Centre.
In a statement, Gogoi said that the State Government had urged the then UPA Government led by Dr. Manmohan Singh to set up a food park in the state.
"During the term of Dr. Singh, the Centre released Rs. 5 crore in 2009, Rs. 10 crore in 2011 and Rs. 15 crore in 2012. The present NDA Government so far released Rs. 10 crore and the remaining Rs. 10 crore is yet to be released by the Centre," Gogoi said.
Gogoi further said that the State has 25 per cent share in the project.
