Golden jubilee of Sankadeva Samaj

GUWAHATI, Jan 20: The Srimanta Sankardeva Samaj, Bamunimaidam, Guwahati is going to hold its three-day golden jubilee celebration from January 22 at Jyotigar amghar. Programmes to be held during the celebrations include Borgeet, Paalam, Khul playing, cultural processions, quiz competitions, art competitions etc. Bhao will be staged on the concluding day.

Talking to newsmen at Guwahati Press Club today, celebration committee spokesperson Surendra Kumar Bora said that in order to popularize Sankari culture, arrangement would be made for regular training on Xatriya dance and Borgeet.
