Golden Jubilee

GUWAHATI, Jan 20: The Government Banikanta College of Teacher Education (IASE-Guwahti) is going to celebrate its golden Jubilee celebration from January 22 to 25. Guwahti MLA Siddhartha Bhattacharya will open the celebration on Sunday to be followed by a cultural procession. The college, after its affiliation under Gauhati University in 1967, was duly recognized by the tiol Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), and is now upgraded to the Institute of Advanced Studies in Education (IASE) as announced by the HRD Ministry. College principal Mousumi Bordoloi, golden jubilee committee secretary Jurity Borgohain, organizing secretary Dr. Jadav Ch. Kalita, and others were present at the press meet.
