'Government working for corruption free administration'

GUWAHATI, Sept 20: Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal said that Assam Government is working for corruption-free administration. He said this while interacting with members of Press Gallery Advisory Committee of Chattisgarh Legislative Assembly today. Sonowal further commented that if everyone discourages corrupt practices, the system will change.  On being asked about his main focus during initial days as CM, Sonowal told the visiting delegate that his government is working hard to fulfill the promises made in the vision document.

He is putting special importance to NRC updation, sealing of Indo-Bungla Border, making optimum utilization of Brahmaputra river and improving the skills of the youth. The Chief Minister also informed that the Assam Government is making an effort to upgrade the village economy and skills of the youth through Mukhya Mantrir Samagra Bikash Yoja.

The Chief Minister lauded the initiatives taken by Prime Minister rendra Modi for overall development of Northeast and told that many developments related projects are already rolled out under centre’s guidance. Stressing on inter-state co-operation, Sonowal said that Assam Government will work in close co-ordition with Chattisgarh government for progress of both the states.
