Governor lauds TU

GUWAHATI, April 6: Assam Governor PB Acharya has congratulated Tezpur University on its being awarded the fifth rank among the universities of the country.
In a message to the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Mihir K. Chaudhury, the Governor said, “The achievement has made the State and its citizens honoured and I am sure, you will continue to do the good work.” The Governor further said: “I as Chancellor as well as the Governor, would like to place on record my appreciation of the good work you and your team have been doing for the cause of the university. The award is the result of that hard work.” The Governor concluded by saying, “I congratulate the VC, the faculty members, officers and staff of the Central university for such an achievement.”
