Governor takes stock of Akshaya Patra Foundation
GUWAHATI, Aug 30: Assam Governor Banwarilal Purohit, who visited Akshaya Patra Foundation, at Amingaon in Kamrup district on Wednesday morning hailed the efforts of the foundation in feeding nutritious food to hundreds of school going children.
The Governor also lauded the efforts of Akshaya Patra Foundation which strives hard from wee hours in the morning to prepare hygienic and nutritious food to the school children.
Reaching there at Akshaya Patra Foundation, the Governor took stock of different facilities there. He visited the kitchen room, the store room and took stock of different parameters that the Foundation puts in place to ensure hygiene and nutrition to the students. He also took a look at the kitchen appliances and equipment that the Foundation uses to prepare food and feed the students.
While hailing the Foundation’s efforts in feeding the students at school and ensuring their nutritiol needs, Purohit asked the Foundation officials to take care of the cleanliness and hygiene issue and adhere to the highest standard of food safety.
