Governor's plea to banks

GUWAHATI, Nov 7: In sync with the 62nd death anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar slated for December 6, Assam Governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi has requested all branches of banks to adopt a resolution to extend 3 loans to 3 specific beneficiaries under existing guidelines on December 6, 2017. One of the beneficiaries should be from the Scheduled Caste, one of the beneficiaries should be a woman and one of the beneficiaries should be a Scheduled Tribe or in case there is no tribal beneficiary then a member from the Other Backward Classes. Loans will be given only to those beneficiaries who have not availed any loans earlier, a press release said. The scheme will be implemented under the Mudra loan of Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yoja.
