GU to host EZ inter-varsity youth festival

GUWAHATI, Dec 24: Gauhati University is going to host 33rd East Zone Inter-University Youth Festival 2017-18 (PRAGJYOTI MAHOTSAVA) under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi from January 5-9, 2018. After a gap of twenty-five years it was held in 1986 and 1992 at Gauhati University under AIU. An organizing committee and 19 sub-committees have been formed for successful completion of the Festival. In the committee Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, Governor, Assam is the Chief Patron,  Sarbanda Sonowal, Chief Minister,  Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Education Minister, Assam, ba Kr. Doley, Cultural Minister, Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam , Dr. Mridul Hazarika, Vice-Chancellor, Gauhati University are patrons.
