Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Jorhat and Silchar to get 4G service soon: BSNL

GUWAHATI, August 20: BSNL is going to introduce 4G services in Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Jorhat and Silchar for which the process is underway. This apart, since Guwahati is going to be a smart city, BSNL, as proposed by Dispur, will make it a Wi-Fi city as well.

Talking to newsmen at BSNL conference hall at Panbazar in the city today, BSNL Assam Circle Chief General Mager MK Seth said: “BSNL is taking all out efforts to sort out the problems of customers in remote and far-flung areas. On the 70th Independence Day BSNL/Assam is specially organizing 70 days mela programme in each Secondary Switching Area (SSA) since July 20, 2016 in all areas of Assam. During this mela award/ certificate are given to all good performers of BSNL SSAs and CSCs. Seventy melas are organized in remote places to sort out the problems of customers and extension of services.”

On new schemes undertaken by BSNL of late, Seth said: “We’ve introduced landline plan monthly charges@ Rs.49 only with installation charges FREE. Customers booking under this plan will get one prepaid SIM card FREE.”

Seth said that BSNL introduced another special benefit of Unlimited FREE calling from BSNL Landline to any network Landline/Mobile on all Sundays.

According to Seth, recently BSNL India has signed a strategic business MOU with Microsoft India offering complete suite of Telecom & IT solutions for Enterprise Business.

BSNL enhanced special benefit of Jai-Jawan plan@ Rs. 99 prepaid customers, existing benefit of 20minute/day to 70 minute/day to 2 BSNL WLL/Mobile/LL Nos for new & existing customers as a tribute to all defence and army persons.
