Handicraft product expo in city

GUWAHATI, March 23: A five-day exhibition-cum-sale of handicraft products has been underway at Central Mall, GS Road, Guwahati since March 22. The exhibition, organized by the tiol Centre for Design and Product Development and Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, will conclude on March 26.
Indian Handicraft Products, Guwahati has been organized to promote and provide unique opportunity to handicraft artisans, craft persons, entrepreneurs and manufacturers to explore their market and showcase their art to the people of Assam. The exhibition was beautifully designed and organized in a bright style. The entrance has a grand colourful gate and the stalls have been aligned in a well-structured manner. The colour combition of the whole exhibition is alluring and inviting. The exhibition design and products displayed won the heart of each and every visitor. The major products and items on display for sale are Muga silk, tural fibre craft, hand block printing, wood craft, and embroidery items, jewelry, cane and bamboo products etc., a press release said.
