Guwahati, Dec 11: The Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Union Ministry of Textile has taken up a project to enhance cluster development executives (CDE) for better output in the handloom sector. The development commissioner appointed IIE, Guwahati to impart training to officials of textiles departments, members of Weavers’ Service Centre and of implementing agencies and cluster development agencies. IIE conducted the training from November 3 to December 9, 2017. Trainees were from Tripura, Jharkhand, Aruchal Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Mizoram, Sikkim, Assam, Manipur and Chhattisgarh.
