Hands on training at down town University

GUWAHATI, Dec 30: A 5-day hands on training/workshop was organized jointly by Dr. Abhijit Dutta PT, HOD Dept of physiotherapy, Assam downtown University, and Dr. Srikant Sikatia, PT HOD Dept. of Physiotherapy, Aditya Diagnostics and Hospitals, Dibrugarh at the campus of Assam down town University at Panikhaiti, Guwahati from December 19 to23, 2016 .

The workshop was on 'DRY NEEDLING AND CUPPING' the latest emerging techniques of Physiotherapy. The resource person was Dr. Vardhaman Jain, founder of NMDN, Cupping Therapy and Instructor, INPP (USA), Therasuit (USA), Hydrotherapy (Hallawick). The event's opening ceremony was graced by the presence of Vice Chancellor Dr.Ramesh Chandra Deka and Dr. B.G. Unni (Research Director) Assam down town University.

Participants were from Assam, West Bengal, Aruchal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura who got the opportunity to make their armory strong with a wonderful tool for treatment.

Prof.Deka emphasized the role physiotherapy in the magement of pain and rehabilitation of patients with the latest techniques of Dry Needling and Cupping and its effects.
