GUWAHATI, April 19: The Sri Hanuman Jayanti Mohotsav Samiti, Gallapatty in the Fancy Bazar area in Guwahati is going to celebrate the Hanuman Jayanti on April 22 with a day-long programe at the Hanuman Mandir there. The oldest Hanuman Mandir in the Northeast has been carrying the legacy of celebrating Hanuman Jayanti for the past 100 years.
The programmes include the puja and mohaabhisekh of Lord Hanuman, to be followed by Maha Arati, a mammoth colourful cultural procession, etc. The special attraction will be a flying Hanuman. Artiste of intertiol repute and MP Manoj Tiwari would grace the occasion. Tiwari will perform at the cultural nite to be held on the occasion.
State BJP president Sarbanda Sonowal, along with other State dignitaries, will also grace the occasion.
