Hassan bound for Jamaica with a bold heart

Assam pageant to represent India at Mrs United tions Pageant

GUWAHATI, June 9: State beauty pageant Roshni Hassan is set to represent India at the Mrs United tions Pageant. She is set to display Assam pat muga studded with Assamese jewelry.

Mrs Hassam is the second runners-up in Mrs India Earth Pageant, 2016. The Mrs United tions Pageant is slated to be held at Jamaica from July 1 to 8 this year.        

In an interview with The Sentinel, Hassan said: “I’m not at all nervous. This is because at the Mrs India Earth contest I confronted contestants from Boston, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bolivia, Pathankot, Bombay and others. Now my confident level is up.”

Detailing on her preparations, Hassan said: “I lay stress on costumes. I prefer traditiol costumes as that speaks volumes of where one comes from. Designer Wahida is going to design my traditiol outfits. Traditiol Assamese jewelry will be part of the costumes.”

When asked on pageants from other countries she is supposed to confront on the ramp, Hassan said: “They’re from the USA, New Jersey, Abu Dhabi, London etc. Fitness is something that takes much attention. There’s a blanket ban on fast food. It’s gym that takes most of the time, around three hours and a half a day, including aerobics. Meditation is too important to be without. It tackles nervousness. It’s part of my life. I’ve been engaged in such contests since 2016. Mrs Pageant has a whole lot of differences with normal beauty pageants. A Mrs Pegeant has family duty as well. However, for me there’s no dearth of support from my family.”
