HC rejects writ

GUWAHATI, March 21: The Gauhati High Court has rejected a writ petition filed by Sahadev Das seeking the formation of a special investigation team (SIT) to be headed by the CBI to investigate the incident of Silapathar riot and its subsequent events in a time-bound manner. The petitioner also wanted that there should be a mechanism for monitoring the investigation by the court.
