Help create a scientifically imbued society: Governor

GUWAHATI, Nov 4:   Doctors should selflessly serve the poor and the needy as improving the health of the poor and needy will amount to improvement of overall health scerio in the State,  observed Assam Governor Banwarilal Purohit in the iugural function of 11th Annual Conference of Indian Academy of Nephrology at held at a city hotel on Friday evening.

 Speaking on the occasion, the Governor lauded the efforts of the doctors for their service towards the society. He urged them to offer their services in the rural areas and to those who cannot afford to better health care services. The profession of the doctors is a medium to serve the needy. He asked the doctors to render their services to generate mass awareness so that a deterrent society can be created for the prevention of all kinds of kidney diseases.

The Governor also asked the gathering to bring in transparency in professiol and persol life, and called upon the delegates to practice highest degree of ethics and professiolism to bring in revolution in the health sector.
