Guwahati, May 24: Newly appointed cabinet minister Himanta Biswa Sarma was today appointed as the co-coorditor of the BJP-ruled states of the Northeast. BJP sources said he was appointed as the coorditor following a party meeting which was attended by BJP tiol president Amit Shah besides the Chief Ministers of galand, Sikkim and Aruchal Pradesh here today. Party sources said he has been appointed for better coordition among BJP ruled-NE states and socio-economic development of the region. A committee—Northeast Democratic Alliance, was also formed today in the meeting.
