Hope adjudged best film

GUWAHATI, Dec 26: Hope, a short film prepared by the students of NPS Intertiol School, Guwahati, has been adjudged the best film (School section) in the 5th Mumbai Short Intertiol Film Festival.

Apart from this, the documentary film has also been nomited for an award in the coveted London Film Festival, 2016. Hope is the only documentary film from India to be nomited for the lists of fil selection of awards in the entire film festival.

 The documentary film has also been selected for screening at Sunlight Intertiol Film Festival, Germany; 5th Mumbai Shorts Intertiol Film Festival, Intertiol New York Film Festival and at the 2nd tiol Children’s Film Festival, 2016 in Jaipur, so far.

“We are very much thankful to the magement of NPS Intertiol School for giving us enough opportunity to make documentary films. Everyone has given equal efforts while making the movie,” young director Aakaansha Das said.

Leading past the documentaries from the United States, Russia, Germany, Georgia, Israel, Scotland, Sweden and others, Hope has been selected among four movies in the Best Student Documentary Short Category of the London Film Festival 2016. ‘Hope’ will compete with  Rangers of the Reef by Brady Valashis of United States; Jack Pan by Latham Wright of United Kingdom and Fighting Against the Stream by Takho Lee of South Korea in the fils.
