IA flight to Imphal cancelled

GUWAHATI, Jan 19: An Indian Airlines flight (AI 889) that came to Guwahati from Delhi failed to take off for Imphal this evening. According to sources, the plane hit a bird on the runway while taking off for Imphal, and that led it to tilt to the side. The plane, however, did not skid off of the runway. The flight had to be cancelled for technical reasons.
