Indian Oil installs solar lights in 3 villages

GUWAHATI, Dec 19: Guwahati-Siliguri Pipeline Unit (GSPU) under eastern region pipeline (ERPL) has provided 110 solar-powered street lights in three villages in lbari and Kamrup districts. Eastern regiol pipeline Executive Director SK Satija and deputy general mager S th and other senior officials of Indian Oil facilitated the facilities recently through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

The villagers, especially women, are elated as the installations have enhanced, what they call, safety and security in the rural roads. Satija laid stress on sustaibility of the project. He was glad to know that the village magement committee has already been formed to oversee the maintence of the facility. The villagers conveyed their happiness and thanked Indian Oil for the gesture.
